Legal Means of the Protection of Victims of Domestic Violence

Abstract

In this scientific paper, the author analyzes the legal means that victims
of domestic violence have the opportunity to use in various areas of
law, especially administrative, civil and criminal law, and points out
the importance of these means in the context of effective prevention of
domestic violence. Furthermore, in his scientific contribution, he also
points to the latest amendments to the laws, which occurred in 2020
with an emphasis on the institute of expulsion from the dwelling. In the
content of the scientific contribution, it also points to the conduct of the
police authorities in the context of the judgments of the European Court of Human Rights, focusing on shortcomings in the conduct of the police authorities that may occur if the first signs of domestic violence are not sufficiently detected.
