Compensation for damage caused by temporary agency employee

For much of the 20th and 21st century, the majority of European
countries maintain of the operation of temporary-work agencies. While
the core principles are enshrined in Convention International Labour Organization No. 181 and EU Directive 2008/104/EC, issue of the liability o damages leaves on national law. This paper presents thegrowing trend in the use of temporary agency employees in Slovak Republic and provides an overview of the regulation of compensation for damages caused by temporary agency employee. It deals with general and specific framework contained in the Labour Code which applies instead of the civil law. The purpose of this article is to raise awareness of the importance of this topic among academics, legislators, employers and employees, who have a common interest in it.
