Abstract

The paper focuses on the analysis of two Roman schools of law, which significantly contributed to the development of jurisprudence in the period of the Principate. These were not schools in terms of today‘s educational institutions, but two different directions in the teaching tradition, in the transfer of legal knowledge and opinions, when supporters of these schools had different legal opinions on certain legal issues.
