Abstract

The author focuses on the construction of selected criminal offences contained in the Criminal Code of Slovak Republic and the Criminal Code of Czech Republic with a focus on the sign of causation (or broader in connection with the objective aspect of the crime). It is based on the basic premise that a causal link is as obligatory a factual element of a criminal offense as action and consequence (or other elements of a subject matter of a crime), which should be adequately translated into the wording of criminal offenses. The above analysis is focused on two groups of crimes, (selected) crimes against life and property, and is therefore an ideal starting point for expressing a partial conclusion as to whether the object of the crime is a differentiation criterion in
connection with the construction of selected crimes.
